The idea behind V2G is to make electric car batteries play an integral role in the urban energy management in order to stabilize the power grid and pave the way for more and more renewable energy integration. In the future, electric cars will charge in response to power supply and demand as well as to customers’ driving patterns. As a result, peak demands could be shaved and grid instability reduced.
